Q: How do I check my email?

A: We offer webmail, or you can check your email with a POP/Imap Client.

We reccomend Thunderbird (free), but you may prefer Outlook, Outlook Express, or Eudora.

Q: How do I reach the webmail system?

A: You can reach webmail at http://mail.hostsouth.com or http://mail.yourdomain.com

Q: What's my username?

A: Your email username is your full email address. you@yourdomain.com

Q: What's the limit on attachment sizes?

A: For the webmail system, It's about 1MB, and we're working to fix this. For a full email client like Thunderbird, Outlook, etc. It's more than 20MB.

Q: Can I create my own email accounts and forwarders?

A: Absolutely. Contact us and we'll send your control panel information immediately.

Q: What scripting languages do you support.

A: On Windows servers, ASP/ASP.net, PHP, and Activestate Perl.
On Linux servers Perl, bash/sh, PHP, Coldfusion, and CGI-BIN
On dedicated or virtual dedicated servers, the above options, as well as
other custom software upon request.

Q: My FTP client connects, logs in, and times out. Why?

A: It sounds like you are being blocked by a firewall. Try using FTP passive mode.
Hostsouth reccomends the free FileZilla Ftp client.

Q: Do you support Frontpage/Dreamweaver/Product X?

A: Our service works with almost anything that supports FTP.
If you need custom extensions like RDS for dreamweaver or Frontpage Extensions, let us know and we will do our best to help.

Q: I just registered and it's not showing up yet. Why?

A: It can take up to 24 hours for the root DNS servers to propagate DNS changes. If you think there may be something else wrong, please let us know.
